Car Safety

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/9817496/Obese-drivers-more-likely-to-die-in-car-crashes.html
Each year scientists find new ways to protect and prevent car crashes. There are many things that can help you. For instance there is an seatbelt that keeps you in your seat. It'll make you not fly out the window so you should always wear your seatbelt. They have many different types of airbags as well. There is side airbags, passenger airbags, and the driver has airbags as well. There are different types of crashes. You could be hit by the front, back, or even the side of the car. Scientist have put extra padding to help the impact not be as bad as it would be. A lot of people get whiplash when they get hit by a car. Whiplash can hurt your neck really bad. It's when driving and then getting hit by a car and your head just goes forward and then back. Over 5 million people get in a car crash each year. Scientists are finding new ways to keep people safe and are cutting this number down.

  1. I wonder what laws of physics apply here and what the extra padding you talk about is made of. perhaps if more people like you study car crashes we would be able to have safer cars. Thank you for posting this information.

  3. This post reminded me of the girl named Morgan that got into a horrible car accident who came to chapel yesterday. I really like the picture you used for your paragraph and the interesting facts with it.
